Turner Motorsport will make its return to SRO America competition full-time in 2021, having confirmed a single-car BMW M6 GT3 entry into GT World Challenge America powered by AWS.

Drivers have yet to be announced for the program, which brings the Massachusetts-based team back to World Challenge competition after multiple championship-winning years in the 2000s.

In recent years, the team has fielded an Am class entry for the Japanese duo of Takuya Shirasaka and Naoto Takeda on a part-time basis.

It’s unclear which class the car will be entered, amid the series’ re-introduction of pro-pro lineups for next year.

“I am happy to announce that the Turner team will be returning to GT World Challenge America for the full 2021 season,” said Will Turner.

“We have a lot of experience racing the BMW M6 and we are excited to bring that experience back to World Challenge to compete for a championship.”

The GTWC America program comes in addition to an expected continued presence in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship.
