Spike Kohlbecker edged out Will Robusto to score his second Toyota GR Cup North America pole of the season ahead of this afternoon’s final race of the weekend at Sonoma Raceway.

The TechSport Racing driver laid down a chart-topping 1:50.895 lap time in his No. 15 Toyota GR86 Cup car on his second-to-last lap in Sunday morning’s qualifying session.

It was just 0.007 seconds quicker than Robusto’s 1:50.902 lap in the No. 2 RVA Graphics Motorsports by Speed Syndicate entry.

Jeremy Fletcher, who had a race to forget on Saturday, rebounded to qualify third in his Copeland Motorsports entry, ahead of Max Schweid and Jenson Sofronas, who completed the top-five.

Beltre Curtis and Garrett Manes were sixth and seventh quickest, respectively.

Race 2 is set to get underway at 12 p.m. PST (3 p.m. EST) with live coverage on SRO’s GT World YouTube channel and on Twitch.
