Random Vandals BMW Tops First Barber Practice

The No. 99 Random Vandals Racing BMW M4 GT3 of Kenton Koch was quickest in the first Fanatec GT World Challenge America practice session of the weekend at Barber Motorsports Park.

The Pro class entry, driven by Koch, was registered with a best lap of 1:20.714, which narrowly edged out the No. 93 Racers Edge Motorsports Acura NSX GT3 Evo22 of Zach Veach by 0.076 seconds.

The championship-leading No. 120 Wright Motorsports Porsche 911 GT3 R of Elliott Skeer was third on the overall and Pro class time charts, followed by the Pro-Am class pace-setting No. 91 Regulator Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo of Philip Ellis, which was fourth.

Robby Foley completed the overall top-five in the No. 29 Turner Motorsport BMW, followed by the No. 38 ST Racing BMW of Neil Verhagen and the Tom Sargent-driven No. 32 GMG Racing Porsche.

The No. 8 Flying Lizard Motorsports BMW was eighth, ahead of the best-placed DXDT Racing Chevrolet Corvette Z06 GT3.Rs, the No. 63 example, in ninth.

Practice 2 gets underway at 3:15 p.m. CDT.
