Richard Antinucci placed the Pro-Am class Mercedes-AMG GT3 of US RaceTronics on top of the overall order during Friday’s second Blancpain GT World Challenge America practice session.
Antinucci, who shares the No. 6 Mercedes with Steve Aghakani, led the way with a time of 2:06.516 that was three-tenths quicker than Maxime Soulet in the quickest Pro entry from K-PAX Racing.
Soulet’s K-PAX Bentley Continental GT3 ended the day on 2:06.824 to sit ahead of the Racers Edge Motorsports Acura NSX GT3 Evo with Kyle Marcelli behind the wheel.
As was the case in practice for this weekend’s Pirelli GT4 America races, the times set earlier on Friday generally held out over the afternoon efforts.
Antinucci’s practice 2 table-topper in murky conditions came in around half a second off the 2:06.001 benchmark set by Alvaro Parente.
Fourth-quickest on Friday afternoon was Toni Vilander in the R.Ferri Motorsports Ferrari 488 GT3, while Michael de Quesada rounded out the top five in the best of the Alegra Motorsports Porsche 911 GT3 R machines.
The fastest Am entry was the No. 911 Autometrics Motorsports Porsche of Joe Toussaint and Alan Metni.
Qualifying for the first race of the Blancpain GT America series takes place tomorrow at 10:20 a.m (11:20 a.m ET).
