The Total 24 Hours of Spa has been red-flagged in its tenth hour, following incidents at Raidillon for two cars.
It is currently unclear exactly why the red flag was brought out although both Juergen Krebs and Andy Meyrick’s cars are stranded at Raidillon in what could be a related incident.
Krebs’ Attempto Racing Lamborghini ran on the grass at Eau Rouge before going off track at Raidillon, while the situation regarding Meyrick’s Team Parker Racing Bentley Continental GT3 is unknown.
This came on the restart lap following a Full Course Yellow that was caused by Krebs going off track elsewhere and beaching his No. 666 Am Cup Lamborghini in the gravel.
All other cars are stationed in the pit lane while the incident is investigated and the cleanup takes place.
Eng will lead the field when the race gets restarted with Walkenhorst Motorsport still out front, while Yelmer Buurman is second for Mercedes-AMG Team Black Falcon.
Daniel Juncadella is third, while Frederic Vervisch will restart in fourth.
Strakka Racing leads in the Pro-Am Cup while Barwell Motorsport heads both the Silver Cup and Am Cup fields.
UPDATE: Krebs, Meyrick Taken to Medical Center
Krebs and Meyrick have both been taken out of their cars and to the medical center, according to a statement issued by the SRO Motorsports Group at 4 a.m. local time.
The announcement was made with 12 hours, 30 minutes remaining, with the race expected to get back underway shortly.
