The No. 11 Kessel Racing Ferrari topped the second and final 90-minute practice session for the Blancpain Endurance Series round at Paul Ricard, France.
It was Marco Frezza who put the black No. 11 Ferrari on top early in the session with a 1:58.158, a time that Free Practice pacesetter Franck Perera couldn’t better in his Pro GT by Almeras Porsche 997 GT3-R (0.044s).
Nissan GT Academy Team RJN confirmed it is a force to be reckoned with this weekend, as Alex Buncombe powered down the Mistral straight to end up in third (+0.117s).
Stef Dusseldorp felt confident in his No. 85 HTP Motorsport Mercedes SLS AMG GT3 and delivered the fourth quickest time (+0.138s) despite a small mistake, while Maxi Buhk drove the sister car to P9.
Christopher Mies was once again the fastest Audi of the field in fifth, while the No. 1 WRT Audi couldn’t match the pace of their colleagues and ended up in P24 (+1.142s).
Both ART Grand Prix McLarens and M-Sport Bentleys didn’t put in a top ten time, but still remained within the same second as the leading Kessel Ferrari.
40 cars put in a time, with the top 19 within the same second. The No. 111 Kessel Racing Ferrari that made contact with the barriers in Free Practice didn’t run as it was still being repaired, while the Emil Frey Jaguar once again had issues in the engine bay.
