The 2016 season of the Blancpain GT Series will get underway at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli, it has been confirmed.
The track that played host to the penultimate round and the first ever night race of the Blancpain Sprint Series in October was once again selected as the Italian Sprint venue and has been brought forward to April 8-10.
Misano fills the only remaining gap in the 2016 calendar, which was revealed in the build up to the Nürburgring BES finale in September and predominantly features Formula One tracks.
No further changes have been made to the ten-round schedule.
