Kessel Racing has announced a return to Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS Endurance Cup competition, rejoining the series after a two-year absence.

The Swiss squad will field a Ferrari 296 GT3 in the Bronze Cup category, with a driver lineup consisting of Nicolo Rosi, Niccolo Schiro and David Fumanelli.

All three drivers are team regulars, with Fumanelli part of the driver crew that secured a Pro-Am class podium at last month’s Lenovo Gulf 12 Hours.

Kessel largely focused on both the European Le Mans Series and FIA World Endurance Championship across 2022 and 2023, but will not return to the world championship this year as Ferrari’s pair of LMGT3 entries was allocated to AF Corse.

However, its efforts in ELMS are set to continue, with a single Ferrari for Takeshi Kimura and Daniel Serra confirmed as part of the 47-car entry list released in December.

“We are really happy to be back in this championship which represents the top level for the GT3 category and will give us the opportunity to face the fastest drivers in the world,” said team owner Ronnie Kessel.

“The team is still open to the possibility of a second entry, that would empower our line-up, but this chance is still to confirm. It is certain that we will give our best as always. Let’s push!”
