Rutronik Racing’s Sven Mueller set the fastest time in the Free Practice session for the Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS Sprint Cup round at Hockenheim.
Mueller reeled off a 1:39.022 aboard the No. 96 Porsche 911 GT3 R, outpacing the No. 48 Winward Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo driven by Lucas Auer by 0.081 seconds.
The second Rutronik Porsche took third with Dennis Marschall at the wheel, leading Bronze Cup in the process.
The Gold Cup-leading No. 6 Liqui-Moly Team Engstler Lamborghini Huracan GT3 EVO2 slotted into fourth driven by Max Hofer, with Gilles Magnus rounding out the top five for Sainteloc Racing.
Both Barwell Motorsport Lamborghinis featured in the top ten separated by 0.041 seconds, with Sandy Mitchell’s No. 78 car leading the No. 72 machine piloted by Patrick Kujala.
Jules Gounon picked up eighth in the No. 9 Boutsen VDS Mercedes-AMG, while Ivan Klymenko led Silver Cup in ninth overall at the wheel of the No. 26 Sainteloc Racing Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo II.
Eddie Cheever completed the overall top ten in the No. 93 Sky-Tempesta Racing Ferrari 296 GT3.
The session was interrupted by a single red flag, triggered when Nicolas Baert hit the barriers at Turn 17 aboard the No. 7 Comtoyou Racing Aston Martin Vantage GT3 Evo.
Track action at Hockenheim resumes with Pre-Qualifying at 3 p.m. CEST (9 a.m. EDT).
