Sky-Tempesta Racing will return to running Ferrari machinery in Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS after two years competing with other manufacturers.
The team’s No. 93 Ferrari 296 GT3, which is entered in both Sprint and Endurance Cup, will be operated by AF Corse with team regulars Chris Froggatt, Eddie Cheever and Jonathan Hui forming the driver crew.
The three drivers won the Bronze Cup title in the endurance series together last year, running in a Garage 59-operated McLaren 720S GT3 Evo.
The move back to Ferrari marks the third different manufacturer in three consecutive seasons for the British team, which has competed in the Endurance Cup since 2019.
It started out running the 488 GT3 and its subsequent Evo update with support from AF Corse, winning Pro-Am titles in both the Sprint Cup in 2020 and Endurance Cup in 2021.
For the 2022 season, Sky-Tempesta then switched to running the Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo, operating with support from both GruppeM Racing and Haupt Racing Team at various points in the season.
A second manufacturer switch followed in November 2022, debuting a new alliance with McLaren and Garage 59 in the Gulf 12 Hours.
That was followed by a full Endurance Cup campaign in which the team secured the Bronze Cup title despite not winning a race
“We are very excited to be back on the track for the 2024 season of the Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe Powered by AWS championship,” said Froggatt.
“Being back with Ferrari and with the support of AF Corse, we are confident in our ability to compete in the extremely competitive bronze category.
“The decision to return to Ferrari reflects our pursuit of excellence and our determination to achieve success on the track.”
