The Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup round at Silverstone next season has been moved back one week to avoid a clash with the Nürburgring 24, the series announced on Sunday.

The three-hour British round will now take place on May 19-20, one week later than the original date which clashed with the N24 on May 10-13.

While the move has been made to allow Blancpain GT teams and drivers to enter the German endurance classic, it now splits the two British races, at Brands Hatch and Silverstone, which have traditionally been held on consecutive weekends.

Brands Hatch will host the second Sprint Cup round on May 5-6.

In addition, there will no longer be a clash between the Monza Endurance Cup race and N24 Qualifying Race, which fell on the same weekend this season, forcing several teams and competitors, including ROWE Racing, to miss the Blancpain GT round.

March 13-14 – Paul Ricard Test Days

April 21-22 – Monza (Endurance)
