Alec Udell set the pace in Thursday’s IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge practice session at Road America, putting Wisconsin team Kelly-Moss atop the time charts.

Udell reeled off a best lap of 2:16.831 in the No. 66 Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport he shares with David Brule.

It was 0.035 seconds quicker than the No. 95 Turner Motorsport BMW M4 GT4 of Bill Auberlen and a further two-tenths up on the No. 14 Riley Motorsports Toyota GR Supra GT4 of Thiago Camilo in third.

The No. 877 PF Racing Ford Mustang GT4 and No. 56 Murillo Racing Mercedes-AMG GT4 completed the top-five overall and in GS in the hands of Kyle Marcelli and Kenton Koch, respectively.

TCR was led by the No. 61 Road Shagger Racing Audi RS 3 LMS TCR, thanks to a late flyer by Jon Morley.

Morley’s 2:20.544 lap time outpaced the No. 15 Belgard & Techniseal Racing Audi TCR of Denis Dupont, who ended up second.

The No. 99 VGRT Honda Civic Type-R TCR placed third ahead of the Ryan Eversley-driven No. 89 HART Honda in fourth.

The 60-minute session was interrupted once for an incident by Rory van der Steur, who spun his Hyundai Veloster N TCR in Turn 9.

A second practice session is scheduled for 9:45 a.m. CT followed by qualifying on Saturday morning ahead of the four-hour enduro in the afternoon.
