Bullitt Joins Endurance Cup With Aston Martin

Bullitt Racing has confirmed that it will make its Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS Endurance Cup debut this year with an Aston Martin Vantage GT3.

The Spanish squad is joining the SRO Motorsports Group series with a Silver Cup entry for drivers Jacob Riegel, Jeff Kingsley and Romain Leroux.

Bullitt is set to be the only Aston Martin team participating in either GTWC Europe championship this season. Its commitment comes in addition to the 56 cars that were shown on the Endurance Cup’s initial full-season entry list last month.

The No. 33 Aston Martin more recently appeared on the provisional entry list for the CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa, which marks the third round of the five-event season.

Last year Bullitt ran its GT3-spec Vantage in the Michelin Le Mans Cup and in February took part in the Asian Le Mans Series.

“This is a part of the long-term plan for Bullitt Racing,” said team manager Steffan Pattrick.

“We are under no illusions that it will be easy. We’re still a young team, growing, investing, and developing in terms of staff, knowledge, and equipment.

“To race against the best teams is an honor and something we take seriously.”

German teenager Riegel is embarking on his first year of GT3 racing after competing in the GT4-based DTM Trophy last year with the Speed Monkeys Aston Martin team.

Leroux is also making his GTWC Europe debut after finishing second in the ADAC GT4 Germany standings driving for Aston Martin customer squad Doerr Motorsport.

Kingsley, meanwhile, was part of GetSpeed Performance’s Silver-class crew in the Endurance Cup last season.

“It makes for a strong trio heading into the season but of course, we’re all aware that GT World Challenge is very competitive, and we’re aware that it will be tough,” said Leroux.

“We’ll aim for good results and try to stay consistent, and we’ll see what happens.”
