Project 1-AO’s Porsche 911 RSR-19 will carry AO Racing’s signature ‘Rexy’ livery at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, it has been announced.

Having run on the team’s Porsche 911 GT3 R all season in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, the dinosaur design will transition into the Porsche GTE-Am class entry that will be driven by Gunnar Jeannette, PJ Hyett and Matteo Cairoli.

The livery first appeared at the WeatherTech Twelve Hours of Sebring, inspired by the son and daughter of AO Racing team principal and driver Hyett.

“PJ and I have been thrilled with the response from race fans all over the world with our Rexy livery,” said Jeannette.

“It was received so warmly in our American racing efforts, that we knew it was only fitting to bring Rexy to compete in France for the centenary of the Le Mans 24 Hours.

“Project 1 with AO Racing is so excited to bring Rexy to our international fans for the greatest sports car racing event in the world.”
