Kellymoss has announced plans to relocate its racing operations to a new 145,000-square-foot facility in Troutman, N.C., where it will share space with sister team Riley Technologies.
The move will bring Kellymoss’ operations from Madison, Wis., together with Riley’s existing operations in Mooresville, N.C., with both teams operating under VICCI, its joint parent company.
VICCI, owned by Kellymoss’ Victoria Thomas and Andy Kilcoyne, with a minority stake from Bill Riley, purchased the two racing entities in early 2025.
The consolidation is expected to bring their expertise and resources together while allowing them to maintain their respective racing programs independent.
Kellymoss has been charged with all Porsche-related efforts, with Riley handing non-Porsche race operations, as well as manufacturing and engineering.
The project represents a planned investment of up to $25 million in real estate, machinery and equipment, with approximately 50 jobs expected to relocate from Wisconsin and at least ten new positions planned in the Troutman area.
The relocation is expected to take place in the third quarter of next year.
“Bringing these amazing teams together under one roof represents an exciting investment in our people, our distinct cultures, our capabilities, and our future,” said Thomas, the president of VICCI.
“We are proud of the foundations that brought us here and even more excited about what we can build together.”
Kellymoss has been based in Wisconsin since May 1988, when Florida-based brothers David and Jeff Stone followed the advice of Porsche enthusiast Rich Moskalik to relocate to the state and establish a Porsche racing team.
Since its founding, Kellymoss has grown into a prominent Porsche racing operation, competing across multiple championships, including GT World Challenge America powered by AWS and Porsche Carrera Cup North America.
“The decision to relocate Kellymoss to North Carolina was both difficult and strategic,” said Kellymoss chief technical officer Kilcoyne.
“Our people are the DNA of Kellymoss, and we recognize the significance of this transition for our employees and their families.
“We’ve been extremely encouraged by the enthusiasm and positive response from so many members of our team.
“Wisconsin has been our home for many years, and we’re proud of everything we’ve accomplished here. As we prepare for this next chapter, our priority is to carry that same passion, dedication, and commitment to excellence forward.”
Bill Riley added: “With both organizations under one roof, we will be able to strengthen the internal resources available to all our racing programs and projects.
“The facility also provides the capacity to continue growing and accommodate larger programs well into the future.”
This weekend, Kellymoss is contesting the Porsche Carrera Cup North America season finale at Circuit of The Americas with five entries across the series’ three classes.
Riley, meanwhile, has built a presence in sports car racing and automotive engineering, including competition in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship and GTWC America.
