Newly minted 24 Hours of Le Mans LMP2 winner Bijoy Garg will make his CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa debut with Walkenhorst Motorsport.
The American racer, who took a class win in the French endurance classic with United Autosports last week, has been added to the lineup for the No. 36 Aston Martin Vantage GT3 Evo in Bronze Cup.
As shown on an updated entry list for the event released on Friday, Garg joins the full-season trio of Tim Creswick, Mex Jansen and Ben Green.
It will be Garg’s first GT3 outing, having come up through the U.S. single seater ranks before moving to prototype racing. He made his LMP2 debut with United at the Rolex 24 at Daytona earlier this year.
The number of cars entered for the centenary edition of the Belgian endurance classic has remained at 67, despite the withdrawal of the No. 990 Century Motorsport BMW M4 GT3.
Team principal Nathan Freke confirmed to Sportscar365 that the team was unable to put together a replacement driver lineup after previous plans fell through.
Instead, Optimum Motorsports has doubled up by adding a second Bronze Cup-entered McLaren 720S GT3 Evo, headlined by Ben Barnicoat and co-driven by Shaun Balfe, Ruben del Sarte and Sam Neary.
Century, meanwhile, remains represented on the grid with its No. 991 car for Darren Leung, Pedro Ebrahim, Toby Sowery and Connor De Philippi.
Elsewhere on the grid, HAAS RT has sured up the lineup for its No. 38 Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo II in Pro-Am, with Julius Adomavicius, Armand Fumal and Brad Schumacher joining Olivier Bertels.
Madpanda Motorsport, which had one driver slot to fill aboard the No. 90 Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo, has called up Alain Valente to partner up with Ezequiel Perez Companc, Patrick Assenheimer and Karol Basz.
