Mathieu Jaminet led the centenary edition of the CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa after ten hours were completed, with racing resumed after a lengthy safety car for rain.

The No. 92 SSR Herberth Porsche 911 GT3 R ran ahead of the Luca Stolz-driven No. 2 Mercedes-AMG Team GetSpeed Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo and the No. 911 Pure Rxcing Porsche 911 GT3 R of Klaus Bachler.

Jaminet cycled to the front after a series of pitstops under caution, which was triggered when Glenn van Berlo’s No. 88 Tresor Attempto Racing Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo II went off at Fagnes.

The timing of that intervention negatively affected the No. 998 ROWE Racing BMW M4 GT3 of Max Hesse, which pitted from the lead of the race shortly before the caution came and has dropped to fourth as a result.

Hesse’s co-driver Dan Harper captured first place when he fought his way past the No. 23 Phantom Global Racing Porsche at the safety car restart, which came after a lengthy safety car for heavy rain.

The No. 23 Porsche took the restart in the lead with Joel Eriksson at the wheel, only for Harper to charge his way past on the approach to Blanchimont.

Hesse still ran ahead of the No. 46 Team WRT BMW of Raffaele Marciello, with Daniel Morad sixth in the No. 48 Mercedes-AMG Team Mann-Filter car and the No. 32 Team WRT BMW piloted by Charles Weerts.
