Philip Ellis was quickest in the first Fanatec GT World Challenge America powered by AWS practice session of the weekend at Virginia International Raceway.
The Regulator Racing driver took his No. 91 Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo to a quick time of 1:45.131 in the 60-minute session, edging out the No. 32 GMG Racing Porsche 911 GT3 R of Tom Sargent by 0.177 seconds.
Robby Foley was third quickest in the No. 29 Turner Motorsport BMW M4 GT3, followed by the Pro class pace-setting No. 120 Wright Motorsports Porsche of Elliott Skeer.
Bryan Sellers completed the top-five overall in the No. 08 DXDT Racing Chevrolet Corvette Z06 GT3.R.
The No. 85 RS1 Porsche, which returns to the Pro class this weekend with Spencer Pumpelly, was sixth, ahead of the Luca Mars and Zach Veach-driven No. 93 Racers Edge Motorsports Acura NSX GT3 Evo22 in seventh.
Adam Carroll was eighth in the No. 19 Esses Racing Mercedes-AMG, with the No. 63 DXDT Corvette and No. 50 Chouest Povoledo Racing Mercedes-AMG completing the overall top-ten.
There were no red flags or notable incidents during the session.
