Lewis Leads First Practice at Road America

Corey Lewis paced the opening Pirelli GT4 America practice session of the weekend at Road America, as a last-minute replacement for John Geesbreght in the No. 68 Smooge Racing Toyota GR Supra GT4 EVO.

Lewis reeled off a best time of 2:17.156 in Friday’s 45-minute session, outpacing the No. 51 AutoTechnic Racing BMW M4 GT4 of Colin Garrett and Zac Anderson by 0.131 seconds.

The No. 97 Random Vandals Racing BMW of Kevin Boehm and Kenton Koch made it a top-three sweep for Silver class entries.

Tyler McQuarrie was the quickest of the Pro-Am class contenders, having set the fourth quickest overall time in his No. 82 BimmerWorld BMW.

It was just 0.002 seconds quicker than Michael Cooper’s No. 9 Blackdog Speed Shop Nissan Z NISMO GT4, which was second in class.

The No. 98 Random Vandals BMW of Paul Sparta and Kris Wilson, meanwhile, topped the Am class, placing 12th overall.
