The entry list for this year’s 24 Hours of Le Mans been revealed, confirming that Wayne Taylor Racing will be part of an 18-strong grid in the top Hypercar category.
Released on Thursday, the grid for the FIA World Endurance Championship blue riband event on June 13-14 is set to feature a capacity field of 62 cars, with 19 in LMP2 and 25 in LMGT3.
The number of Hypercars is down by three from last year’s race, reflecting the loss of four Porsche 963s — the three factory Porsche Penske Motorsport cars and the single customer Proton Competition entry — and one Cadillac V-Series.R, offset by the arrival of two cars from new full-time WEC participant Genesis Magma Racing.
It marks the smallest top-class field at Le Mans since 2023, when there were 16 cars in Hypercar.
WTR, which has been handed the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship’s ‘at-large’ invitation in the wake of Porsche’s withdrawal from the top class, will make its second consecutive La Sarthe appearance with an unchanged lineup aboard its No. 101 Cadillac, comprising brothers Ricky and Jordan Taylor and Filipe Albuquerque.
Fellow Cadillac entrant Action Express Racing will miss Le Mans for the first time since 2022, having been present for the last three editions with a solo entry.
Sportscar365 has reached out to both Cadillac and Action Express for a statement.
The reduction in the number of Hypercars has allowed both the LMP2 and LMGT3 classes to grow from last year, with LMP2 up by two cars — all Oreca 07 Gibsons — and LMGT3 up by one car.
RD Limited will contest Le Mans for the first time in the LMP2 class, after missing out on the auto-invite that comes with winning the Asian Le Mans Series title for a second year in a row, with team owner Romain Dumas confirmed as one of the drivers alongside FIA Bronze-rated Fred Poordad.
Alex Quinn joins George Kurtz in the CrowdStrike Racing by APR that sealed the LMP2 title in the Asian Le Mans Series, making the switch back to Algarve Pro from his new-for-2026 European Le Mans Series employer Nielsen Racing.
The remaining teams in LMP2 are all drawn from the ELMS grid, with only six cars so far featuring fully-confirmed lineups.
These include the No. 99 AO by TF car belonging to IMSA Jim Trueman Award winner PJ Hyett, who is joined by his regular ELMS co-drivers Louis Deletraz and Dane Cameron.
RD Limited, CrowdStrike by APR and AO by TF are all among the ten LMP2 entries that are registered for the Pro-Am subdivision.
In LMGT3, the regular 18 cars from the WEC are joined by five auto-invite winners: Chevrolet Corvette Z06 GT3.Rs for TF Sport and 13 Autosport (via Orey Fidani winning the IMSA Bob Akin Award), two Ferrari 296 GT3 Evos for Kessel Racing an an additional Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo for Iron Lynx.
The TF entry carries the No. 2 and features Prince Jefri Ibrahim, the team principal/driver of JMR Johor Racing, in what will mark a partnership with Malaysian squad, which initially requested for its own entry, as revealed by Sportscar365 last week.
The Tom Ferrier-led squad confirmed that Ibrahim will be joined by Afiq Ikhwan and Ben Green at the wheel of the Corvette.
Fidani, meanwhile, is joined the No. 13 car by his regular WeatherTech Championship co-drivers Matt Bell and Lars Kern.
The two Kessel cars are split between regular clients Dustin Blattner, who has his usual co-driver Dennis Marschall as well as Lorenzo Patrese listed alongside him, and Takeshi Kimura, who will share his entry with factory Ferrari driver Daniel Serra and one other to-be-announced driver.
Iron Lynx’s additional car is entered under the ‘Team Qatar by Iron Lynx’ banner for Abdulla Al-Khelaifi, who raced in Asian Le Mans last season, Julian Hanses and Toyota SUPER GT regular Giuliano Alesi, son of ex-Formula 1 star Jean.
Also worthy of note is a change in the usual lineup of the No. 78 Akkodis ASP Lexus RC F GT3, as Jack Hawksworth steps in for Esteban Masson — who is set to again contest the race in the LMP2 class for Panis Racing.
Outside of the auto-invite winners, Racing Spirit of Leman, which was part of the WEC last year, and Richard Mille AF Corse have also been granted entries in LMGT3.
Clement Mateu, Sebastien Baud and Valentin Hasse-Clot are confirmed for the Racing Spirit of Leman Aston Martin Vantage GT3 Evo, which joins the two Heart of Racing Team entries, while Custodio Toledo, Lilou Wadoux and Ricardo Agostini are named in the No. 150 AF Corse Ferrari.
GR Racing, Cetilar Racing, Franchitti Headline Nine-Car Reserve List
As well as the main entry list, a reserve list featuring an additional nine cars was also published on Thursday, made up of five LMP2 entries and four LMGT3s.
GR Racing’s Ferrari heads the list, ahead of Cetilar Racing’s Oreca, which missed out on a place in the LMP2 class despite its near miss in the Asian Le Mans Series title race.
Also on the reserve list among the LMGT3s are an additional Aston Martin from Asian Le Mans entrant Blackthorn with Dario Franchitti listed in the car, a McLaren 720s GT3 Evo from United Autosports and another AF Corse-run Ferrari, the No. 151 car.
Besides Cetilar, additional LMP2 entries from CLX Motorsport, IDEC Sport, Vector Sport and Proton Competition all feature on the list.
IDEC being granted only one entry on the main entry list casts doubt on whether the Genesis Magma Racing trajectory program drivers racing in this year’s ELMS, Jamie Chadwick, Valerio Rinicella and Laurents Hoerr, will feature at Le Mans.
The French squad’s one confirmed entry, the No. 28 car, only has Paul Lafargue listed as a driver so far.
