TPC Racing and its affiliated suspension technology company, DSC Sport, will compete with a multi-car program in Mustang Cup USA this year.

The TPC and DSC effort debuts in next weekend’s season-opening doubleheader at Sebring International Raceway, where the team will campaign a pair of Mustang Dark Horse R entries for team principal and founder Michael Levitas and debuting team driver Cliff Elliott.

The program will be run by Harris Levitas, Mike’s son, who returns this year to lead the overall operation and its multi-series squad as the team’s director of race operations.

Mike Levitas, who has also been a primary and championship-winning driver for TPC for more than two decades, will make his Mustang racing debut in a full-season campaign.

The younger Levitas will take over the No. 36 car for Sunday’s second of the weekend’s two races with Harris set for his first race start in several years after previous experience in Spec Miata and Porsche Cayman and GT3 Cup cars.

Elliott will drive the No. 65 entry at Sebring as he competes in multi-car sports car racing for the first time after starting his career as a winning driver in single-car competitions, such as the Optima Ultimate Street Car Challenge.

“TPC Racing is thrilled to now be part of the Ford Racing family and running the Ford Dark Horse R in the USAC Mustang Cup Series,” said Harris Levitas.

“It is a great program, and it is great to be working once again with Chris Ward, who is now with Ford Racing. We have worked with Chris in the past and have always been able to put things together very well.

“He worked hard to get us into the Ford program, and we want to thank him.

“The Mustang Dark Horse is really a great car, and their approach to racing in the USAC Mustang Cup and IMSA Mustang Challenge series is a very affordable way to get into racing.”

Mike Levitas added: “I am super stoked. It’s awesome, just amazing. I’m super excited for the opportunity to race the Ford Dark Horse R in Mustang Cup. It’s a great format with a series being run by Ford, just so spot on.

“Ford is at the right place at the right time with the right product. It’s a great complement to the programs TPC Racing already has, the Porsche program, everything we do.”
