Mustang Cup USA will crown its second set of champions this weekend at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta, with titles in both the Miles and Parnelli Cups still up for grabs.

The USAC-sanctioned single-make series will visit the 12-turn, 2.54-mile road course, home of Motul Petit Le Mans, for the first time as its completes its season-long campaign.

Capaldi Racing’s Logan Adams swept the weekend last time out at Road America, claiming Dark Horse class wins in both Cups.

He heads into the weekend with a 20-point lead over Lief Johnson Ford Racing driver Kale Buhl in the Miles Cup, with the gap only 19 points behind the two drivers in the Parnelli Cup.

A maximum of 60 points are up for grabs for each race.

The story is slightly different in Dark Horse Legends, as Craig Capaldi has already provisionally clinched titles in both Cups in his No. 68 Capaldi Racing Ford Mustang Dark Horse R.

Capaldi is poised to become the first back-to-back champion in the series, which launched last year.

A record number of entries are expected over the weekend of racing.

“This season has seen terrific growth across the Dark Horse and Legends classes and that has sparked some extremely competitive battles in both the Miles and Parnelli Championships,” said Ford Racing global customer racing manager Chris Ward.

“We also debuted the Cup Classic class, and we continue to work with prospective competitors as we look to grow that class in 2027.”

Track action begins on Friday with three practice sessions, followed by qualifying and the final Miles Cup race of the year at 1:25 p.m. EST. Sunday’s activities will see Parnelli Cup qualifying and the race, which will start at 12:30 p.m. EST.

Both races will be streamed live on Ford Racing’s YouTube channel.
