AF Corse was the quickest team in tonight’s Night Practice session for the fourth running of the Gulf 12 Hours at the Yas Marina Circuit.

The No. 3 Ferrari 458 Italia GT3 of Steve Wyatt, Michele Rugolo and Davide Rigon set the fastest lap time in the final minutes of the session, lapping the Abu Dhabi circuit in 2:12.104.

Avelon Formula’s No. 45 Wolf GB08 was second quickest, ending the session 0.190s behind the AF Corse Ferrari. Ivan Bellarosa, Guglielmo Belotti and Ricardo Teixeira had been quickest in the session for over 20 minutes, before being pushed down to second.

The Gulf Racing Lamborghini Gallardo FL2 of Roald Goethe, Stuart Hall and Frederic Fatien completed the top three. The No. 69 car finished the session three tenths behind the AF Corse, despite being on top for almost the entire first hour.

2014 race winners Abu Dhabi Racing by Black Falcon finished the session in fifth place, while the new McLaren 650S GT3 put in the seventh fastest time of the session.

The 80-minute session was briefly interrupted by a red flag, a result of the No. 99 Kessel Racing Ferrari stopping on track.

Two additional practice sessions will take place tomorrow, followed by qualifying at 4 p.m. local time.
