Conquest Racing will run its Ferrari 296 GT3 Evo in a special tribute livery honoring Cedric Sbirrazzuoli, who passed away last month at the age of 39.

Sbirrazzuoli was a longtime member of the Eric Bachelart-led squad, having teamed for GTD class victory at Petit Le Mans two years ago with Manny Franco and Albert Costa.

The same livery that took the trio to top honors in 2024 will be on the car for next weekend’s IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season finale.

Costa will be joined in the No. 34 Ferrari by Lorenzo Patrese and Alec Udell.

“It was important for both Manny Franco, myself, and the entire team to pay homage to Cedric and all he did for the sport,” said Bachelart.

“Winning Petit Le Mans in 2024 was both a great memory for the team but especially side-by-side with Cedric, who was always such a positive influence both on and off the track.

“Seeing that same livery will bring back many good memories, which will of course include his name alongside our drivers.

“Alec Udell joining the program should also be a great addition to Albert and Lorenzo, we have been paying attention to Alec over the last several years, and excited to finally get the opportunity to work with him.”

Sbirrazzuoli was sidelined from racing last year, although kept his health battle out of the media until his passing in August due to complications from cancer.

Udell, meanwhile, will be making his debut with the team after having prior Ferrari experience with AF Corse in the Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen earlier this year.

The FIA Silver-rated driver most recently was part of DragonSpeed’s Chevrolet Corvette Z06 GT3.R lineup at Road America.

“I’m delighted with the opportunity to work with everyone at Conquest, with special thanks to both Manny Franco and Eric Bachelart for the opportunity.” said Udell.

“The team’s reputation is extremely well regarded. From my seat, Eric has put together a great team.

“They’ve been a consistent threat every weekend this season. I’m excited to be part of it.

“Albert and Lorenzo are strong drivers with great pace, my goal is to settle in and be as plug-and-play as possible to the group.

“Petit Le Mans is a special event in the season packing tons of excitement – I’m certain we can all capitalize on that.”
