ANSA Motorsports has confirmed an entry into the new GT Cup class in Pirelli World Challenge for 2015, and is another team to make the switch from an IMSA championship.

ANSA captured the 2012 and 2014 Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge USA Gold Cup team championships, and the 2013 IMSA Prototype Lites L2 championship.

Drivers for the Miami-based, Alain Nadal-led team will be announced at a later date.

“I am thrilled to have an opportunity to compete in the 2015 Pirelli World Challenge,” team owner Nadal said. “We have been racing Porsche cars since 2011, and we are pleased to remain a faithful customer of Porsche Motorsport North America.

“The announcement of the new GT Cup class allowing us to race within the GT class, is a tremendous opportunity for our team. We look forward to competing with the best GT Cup class teams and to discover all the benefits that the Pirelli World Challenge series has to offer.”

The team’s new shop in Miami Gardens is expected to open in March. The PWC season opens March 6-8 at Circuit of the Americas in Austin.
