Katsumasa Chiyo will join Nissan GT Academy Team RJN in the Blancpain Endurance Series, as the team looks to defend its 2013 Pro-Am team title with two cars.
The 26-year-old is part of the Nismo Global Driver Exchange Program and won the National Class of the Japanese Formula 3 Championship back in 2011.
Chiyo has already acquainted himself with with the Nissan GT-R Nismo GT3 as he drove the car in the Japanese Super GT championship, the Malaysia Merdeka Endurance Race and the Bathurst 12 Hour as recent as last weekend.
Chiyo will join the 2013 class of GT Academy winners and will team up with American GT Academy graduate Nick McMillen in one of the cars with a third driver yet to be announced.
Miguel Faisca (Portugal), Stanislav Aksenov (Russia) and Florian Strauss (Germany) will form a rookie trio in the second Nissan GT-R Nismo GT3, entered by the team in the Pro-Am class.
