No Further Action on Garage 59 Nürburgring Start

There will be no further action on a suspected jumpstart by Rob Bell in the Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup Main Race at Nürburgring on Sunday afternoon.

Midway through the race, which was won by Bell and Alvaro Parente in the No. 58 Garage 59 McLaren 650S GT3, it was announced that the Brit’s start would be investigated after the race.

“The Stewards conclude that there is no clear evidence of a jump start offence having been committed by car No. 58,” reads the Stewards’ Decision.

“No compelling video evidence of a jump start has been seen and the data clearly demonstrates that car No. 33 was the first to apply full throttle and the first to increase RPM.

“The Stewards therefore decide to take no further action in relation to this matter.”

Bell and Parente won the race, while Belgian Audi Club Team WRT second with Will Stevens and Rene Rast.
