Maxime Martin will join the British GT Championship field this season, becoming the fifth Aston Martin Racing factory GTE-Pro driver on the grid.

The Belgian, who joins the manufacturer from BMW this year, will drive the Jetstream Motorsport-prepared Aston Martin Vantage GT3 alongside reigning GT Cup champion Graham Davidson.

Fellow AMR factory drivers Nicki Thiim, Marco Sorensen, Darren Turner and Jonny Adam will also be present in the series, as will Mercedes-AMG works pilot Yelmer Buurman and McLaren driver Rob Bell.

Martin will drive alongside Adam and Alex Lynn in the FIA World Endurance Championship while also joining the R-Motorsport effort in the Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup.

“I’m really excited to be entering British GT with Jetstream Motorsport,” said 2016 Total 24 Hours of Spa winner Martin.

“I’ve never raced in the championship before and it’s great to be doing it during my first year with Aston Martin Racing.

“I’ve spoken to my fellow Aston Martin drivers, including Jonny Adam, and they have told me that the level of competition in British GT is high and it’s a difficult championship to win.”

The British GT full-season entry list will be revealed next Thursday at the annual media day which will take place at Donington Park.
