KCMG, AF Corse, Herberth Add to FIA GT Nations Cup Field

Total of 14 cars now confirmed for inaugural FIA GT Nations Cup in Bahrain…

The field for the inaugural FIA GT Nations Cup has increased to 15 cars with the addition of Danish, Chinese, Hong Kong and British entries announced on Tuesday.

KCMG will enter a Nissan GT-R NISMO GT3 to represent Hong Kong with Shiu Cheong Charles Kwan and Cheuk Wai Andy Yan confirmed as drivers.

AF Corse has added two more cars for the event at Bahrain International Circuit on Nov. 30 – Dec. 1, representing Denmark and the United Kingdom. 

It will also run the already announced Italian, Japanese and Belarusian entries.

Johnny Laursen and Nicklas Nielsen will share the Formula Racing-entered Danish Ferrari 488 GT3, while Chris Buncombe and Christopher Froggatt will drive the British entry.

Herberth Motorsport, which was the first team to commit to the event with the Australian entry running as Grove Racing, has added a second Porsche 911 GT3 R to represent China.

Li Chao and Ye Hongli will draw from their experience in the Blancpain GT Series Asia and Asian Le Mans Series, respectively.

While Turkey’s entry, which will be a Mercedes-AMG GT3 run by Ram Racing, was announced last week, the identity of Salih Yoluc’s co-driver has been revealed as Ayhancan Guven.

The full entry list for the inaugural GT Nations Cup is expected to be released later this week.

In total, it currently includes entries representing Australia, Belarus, Belgium, China, Denmark, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, Japan, Russia, Sweden, Thailand, Turkey and the UK.
