ByKolles Racing will not take part in next month’s 1000 Miles of Sebring, with the German LMP1 squad having dropped off the entry list for the first FIA World Endurance Championship race of the 2019 calendar year.
The team was due to enter its ENSO CLM P1/01 NISMO in the race, but has been forced with withdraw on grounds of force majeure, according to team principal Manfredi Ravetto.
While declining to comment in detail, Ravetto told Sportcar365 that a complication with a third party supplier resulted in the team missing the shipping deadline for air freight.
Its withdrawal will result in a 34-car starting grid for the sixth round of the season, including seven LMP1 entries.
Ravetto said the team will return to action for the Six Hours of Spa in May, ahead of the season-ending 24 Hours of Le Mans.
