Filipe Albuquerque topped the time charts in a foggy warmup session for IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship competitors ahead of this afternoon’s Monterey Sports Car Championship powered by Pirelli.

Action Express Racing-run Cadillac DPi-V.Rs ran 1-2 in the 20-minute session, which was briefly delayed due to visibility issues around WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca.

Once conditions improved, Albuquerque reeled off a 1:16.830 to edge out teammate Felipe Nasr by 0.289 seconds.

The pair of Team Joest Mazda RT24-Ps were third and fourth, with the No. 6 Team Penske Acura ARX-05 of Dane Cameron completing the top-five.

Joey Hand led the way in GT Le Mans in the No. 66 Chip Ganassi Racing Ford GT, while GT Daytona was topped by the No. 76 Compass Racing McLaren 720S GT3 of Paul Holton.

Twenty-six of the 31 cars set for this afternoon’s race turned laps, with no major incidents occurring.

The Monterey Sports Car Championship powered by McLaren gets underway at 12:05 p.m. PDT, with live coverage on NBC and IMSA Radio.
