Sportscar365 is contacting drivers from around the world to ask what they’re doing during the coronavirus pandemic and how they’re coping with the racing downtime.

The third installment of this new regular series catches up with Porsche factory driver and FIA World Endurance Championship regular Matt Campbell (Twitter/Instagram).

Where are you sitting out the COVID-19 crisis?

I have decided just to stay in my apartment in Stuttgart with my roommate (and Porsche Junior) Jaxon Evans, just waiting it out and seeing what develops next. I would love to head back home for a bit but that doesn’t make sense right now.

What’s your go-to for food when no-one feels like cooking?

Just whatever is left in the fridge!

What have you been watching recently on Netflix/TV?

I need to start a new series but can’t decide what to watch… I’ve just finished the latest season of ‘Formula 1 Drive to Survive’.

What music are you into at the moment?

I’ve got a few favorite songs at the moment but I can suggest a playlist to follow, with all this time on my hands I finally made my own! It’s @mattcampbell22 on Spotify.

Do you do sim racing? If so, tell us a bit about your set-up and what games you use. Who would win a race between all the Porsche factory drivers?

Yes! It’s been getting quite the workout, so much so my wheel actually broke!

I have a SimLab P1X with a Samsung Superwide Gaming Monitor, MSI Gaming PC, Heusinkveld Ultimate pedals with a new wheel setup coming soon after our little problem. Who would win amongst us? Whoever isn’t in the start crash!

Do you have any pets?

In Australia, yes. I have a little Jack Russell who lives with my mum. But no pets in Germany!

What’s your favorite section of any race track in the world, and why?

For me, Bathurst is my favorite track in the world, with my favorite section being from Turn 2 all the way through to Turn 12 at Skyline! It’s fast, flowing and balls to the wall.

What’s the funniest thing you have heard or said over a team radio?

There have been a few funny ones, but I do remember one time from when I was racing in Australia. I said, “God my helmet looks good on TV” followed by me waving next time my onboard was on the big screen… all in the middle of a Carrera Cup race!

What’s the one thing you are most looking forward to the first day you return to a race track?

It’s pretty simple and probably the same answer from most drivers… getting my arse back in the car!
