Marc Basseng crashes Phoenix Audi at Tiergarten…

An early race favorite was eliminated in the opening hours of the Nürburgring 24.

The No. 3 Phoenix Racing Audi R8 LMS ultra of Marc Basseng crashed out at Tiergarten, due to a suspected mechanical failure to the mid-engined sports car.

Basseng escaped injury in the high-speed accident.
