A total of 41 cars are set for Friday’s BMW Endurance Challenge at Daytona in the season-opening round for IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge competitors.

The entry list, released on Monday, features 25 GS class entries and a record 16 TCR cars set to do battle in the four-hour endurance race.

It is an increase of the 37 cars that took part in last weekend’s Roar Before the Rolex 24, which unlike the WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, was not mandatory for teams.

Among the additions include the No. 23 Notlad Racing by RS1 entry of Matt Dalton and Patrick Gallagher, which has yet to declare a car.

Three additional TCR cars are entered for the race, including JDC-Miller Motorsports’ Audi RS 3 LMS TCR for Chris Miller, Mikey Taylor and William Tally and the No. 15 Rockwell Autosport Development Audi TCR of Alex Rockwell,  Nelson Canache and Mike Moore.

A second Atlanta Speedwerks Honda Civic Type-R TCR is also on the entry list after the team ran a solo entry at the Roar.

Track action for Pilot Challenge kicks off on Wednesday with the race set for Friday at 1:35 p.m. ET with live coverage on Trackpass on NBC Sports Gold and IMSA Radio.
