Altzman, Evans in Second MMR Mustang GT4 for Road Atlanta

McCumbee McAleer Racing will add a second Ford Mustang GT4 for next month’s IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge season-ending Fox Factory 120 at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta for a pair of Ford Racing Driver Development Team members.

Team veteran Jenson Altzman will share driving duties of the No. 61 Mustang, sponsored by convenience store and gas station chain QuikTrip, as well as Atlanta-based Coca-Cola, with Erik Evans in the two-hour race.

Evans, an Atlanta native, has predominately raced in Europe in recent years, having become the first American to win the British GT Championship in the GT4 class, while more recently competing in the European GT4 Series.

The 23-year-old will be making his long-awaited IMSA debut.

“I couldn’t be more excited to finally race at home in Atlanta,” said Evans. “Growing up here, competing at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta means the world to me.

“I think we have a strong package to compete against one of the toughest GT4 grids in North America.”

Altzman, who finished fourth in the GS championship with MMR in 2025, has shifted to the team’s new Pirelli GT4 America operation this year, while also contesting the Michelin Endurance Cup Races in Myers Riley Motorsports’ Ford Mustang GT3 EVO in GTD.

“I’m always proud to represent the Ford Racing Driver Development Team, and these opportunities we get to co-drive with one another have been amazing,” said Altzman.

“We all push each other to be the best we can. It’s going to be an incredible weekend with some great partners involved and I appreciate the support from all parties as I compete in both WeatherTech and Michelin Pilot Challenge for the final IMSA race of the season.”

The second Mustang GT4 for the season finale will bolster the team’s title hopes with its No. 13 entry of Finn Wiebelhaus and Robert Noaker, with the reigning Mustang Challenge North America champion currently sitting third in the GS points standings, 100 points out, with two races to go.

“Expanding our IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge effort to two cars for the finale at Road Atlanta is a huge step for MMR,” said team co-owner Chad McCumbee.

“Having Erik join our program alongside Jenson brings together two extremely talented, dedicated drivers from the Ford Racing family.

“Erik’s international success speaks for itself, and welcoming him for a true home race with incredible partners behind him makes this entry even more special. We are looking forward to finishing out the season on a high note.”
