CJ Wilson Racing will once again enter its GS class Porsche 911 in the Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge, with it returning to action this weekend at Road America.
The Austin-baed team will field the car for drivers Marc Miller and Tyler McQuarrie, with the entry carrying sponsorship from the American Petroleum Institute.
“Road America is an iconic venue and holds great memories for me,” Miller said. “Last year my teammate, Tyler McQuarrie, and I had a really hard fought run. My stint started off with me narrowly escaping catastrophe on the opening lap. Personally, I am hoping for less excitement this season.”
McQuarrie is equally excited about the team’s return to the Elkhart Lake venue.
“Out of all the tracks on the Continental Sports Car Challenge calendar, Road America is one of my favorites. I’m really looking forward to getting back in the CJ Wilson Racing Porsche with Marc,” he said.
“We plan to continue to develop the car throughout the weekend and run the race at the sharp end of the field.”
