***Late additions Jonathan Bomarito and Tristan Nunez will start today’s Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge race from sixth on the grid in ST. It marks both drivers’ second career series starts, with Nunez looking to keep his undefeated streak alive after scoring a debut class win at Lime Rock Park in 2013.

***This weekend’s event sees a season-low entry of 35 cars, including only 11 GS class cars that have made the trip North of the border to Canadian Tire Motorsport Park. A total of 51 cars took the green flag at Daytona in January.

***Among the teams not present here this weekend is Team Sahlen, which has pulled both of its ST-class Porsche Caymans following the Watkins Glen round.

***The No. 8 Mantella Autosport Camaro Z/28.R will roll off from 9th on the grid after rebounding from a heavy accident in opening practice by Anthony Mantella, which saw the car end up on its side in the Turn 3 barriers.

***Mark Wilkins returns to the wheel of the Mantella Camaro after missing the previous round at Watkins Glen due to his Kia commitments in World Challenge.

***Ryan Eversley makes his return to Continental Tire Challenge competition, teaming with Chad Gilsinger in the No. 93 HART Honda Civic Si. Eversley will complete the remainder of the season, except for next month’s VIR round, due to it clashing with his World Challenge commitments with Acura and RealTime Racing.

***ST class pole-sitter Devin Jones will share the No. 34 Alara Racing Mazda MX-5 with Christian Szymczak and will pull double duty between the Continental Tire Challenge and Mazda MX-5 Cup series this weekend.

***Jones replaces Justin Piscitell, who has subsequently landed a last-minute drive in the No. 65 Murillo Racing BMW 328i, replacing Brent Mosing. Piscitell’s four-race pole streak came to an end on Friday, having not qualified the car, but he heads into today’s race second in the ST class points standings.

***Doran Racing seeks its third straight podium in GS. Brad Jaeger, driver of the No. 14 Nissan 370Z, turns 30 on Friday.

***The Doran team will have a revised lineup beginning at the next round at Lime Rock Park, with 2014 Nissan GT Academy North America winner Nic Hammann making his U.S. racing debut. Hammann is expected to complete the remainder of the season in one of the team’s 370Zs.

***Multimatic Motorsports driver Austin Cindric will make his stock car debut next week at Iowa Speedway in an ARCA race. Cindric also competes full-time in GRC Lites beyond his Continental Tire Challenge commitments.

***More than 200 employees and guests of Multimatic are on hand this weekend. The multi-national company, based in nearby Markham, Ont., is fielding a pair of Ford Shelby Mustang GT350R-Cs, which debuted last month at Watkins Glen.

***Compass360’s Subaru WRX STI, which last ran at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, is for sale. Team owner Karl Thomson told Sportscar365 their focus is now on multiple Audi programs, including its new S3s, which it has received a considerable amount of interest for a possible expanded 2016 program.

***Defending ST race winner Adam Isman will not be in Rennsport One’s No. 18 Porsche Cayman for CTMP, with the Canadian confirming his absence on Tuesday.
