Qualifying for the Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge season finale at Road Atlanta has been canceled due to rain, as the series does not qualify in wet conditions.

It marks the second time this year that a session has been rained out, as Road America’s qualifying session was also canceled for the same reason.

This means points will set the field for Friday’s season finale. IMSA did turn the canceled qualifying session into a 45-minute, all-class practice.

The cancellation leaves champion-elect Stevenson Motorsports’ pair of Andrew Davis and Robin Liddell on pole in GS, and CJ Wilson Racing’s pair of Chad McCumbee and Stevan McAleer on pole in ST.

Of note, both pairings won in the rain at Watkins Glen International earlier this year.
