Rum Bum Racing prevented Fall-Line Motorsports from making it three of its BMW M3s in a row to lead the three Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge practice sessions ahead of the BMW Performance 200 on Friday.

Rum Bum’s No. 03 BMW M3 driven by Hugh Plumb and Kaz Grala led Thursday’s Practice 3 in GS and overall with a best lap of 1:55.880, set by Plumb.

Fall-Line Motorsports’ No. 46 M3 of John Edwards and Trent Hindman was second at 1:55.901. Had the No. 46 held the top spot at the end of the session, it would have followed the No. 47 (led Practice 1) and No. 48 (Practice 2) as session leaders.

The sister No. 48 Fall-Line M3 of Shelby Blackstock and Ashley Freiberg was third at 1:56.076.

In ST, Honda led the class with Ryan Eversley and Kyle Gimple in the No. 75 Compass360 Racing Civic Si at 2:05.684, with Eversley setting the best time.

The No. 4 LRT Racing Honda Civic Si (Juan Carlos Leroux and Jorge Leroux) was second at 2:05.830 with the No. 24 Autometrics Motorsports Porsche Cayman (Cory Friedman, Mac McGehee, David Baum) third at 2:05.892.

Several red flags interrupted the 30-minute session, so there wasn’t too much time to post a flier.

Qualifying for the race occurs from 2:00 to 2:45 p.m., ST out first for 15 minutes and GS to follow.

RESULTS: Practice 3
