Foss, Murillo Mercedes GT4 Quickest on Friday at CTMP

Eric Foss led the way in the opening day of official track action for IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge competitors at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park.

The Murillo Racing driver reeled off a best lap of 1:23.506 in Friday’s opening practice session, edging out the No. 69 Motorsports In Action McLaren 570S GT4 of Jesse Lazare by 0.270 seconds.

Foss’ No. 56 Mercedes-AMG GT4 ended up quickest of the day, with times in the afternoon session slower.

The No. 46 Team TGM Mercedes GT4 of Owen Trinkler was quickest in the session with a 1:23.926 lap time.

Bryan Herta Autosport’s Michael Lewis, meanwhile, was quickest in TCR on Friday, thanks to a 1:24.484 lap time in his Hyundai Veloster N TCR that was also set in the morning session.

A final 15-minute practice session is on tap for Saturday morning, followed immediately by qualifying for Saturday afternoon’s Canadian Tire Motorsport Park 120.
