Grisham Takes Heart of Racing to Third Straight Pole

Hannah Grisham gave Heart of Racing Team its third consecutive IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge pole position, taking her Aston Martin Vantage GT4 to top qualifying honors for Saturday’s Road America 120.

Grisham reeled off a best lap of 2:14.505 in the No. 26 Aston Martin to edge out Ethan Slater’s No. 60 KohR Motorsports Ford Mustang GT4 by 0.042 seconds.

It marked Grisham’s second career pole after taking the Ian James-led squad’s maiden series pole at Watkins Glen International last month.

Practice 2 pace-setter Ford Koch qualified third in the No. 23 Koch-Copeland Motorsports Toyota GR Supra GT4 EVO2, while Robert Noaker and Paul Holton completed the top-five, also in Mustang GT4s.

TCR class pole went to the No. 93 MMG Honda Civic FL5 TCR of LP Montour, marking the Japanese manufacturer’s fourth consecutive of the year and third straight for Montour.

Montour recorded the ninth quickest time overall in the session but per Pilot Challenge rules, will be gridded behind the entire 27-car GS field.

The No. 5 KMW Motorsports With TMR Engineering Honda will line up second in class, with Mason Filippi the best of the rest in the No. 33 Bryan Herta Autosport Hyundai Elantra N TCR.

The Road America 120 gets underway Saturday at 12:50 p.m. CST with live coverage on Peacock as well as IMSA’s YouTube channel, commercial-free courtesy of Michelin.
