***BMW Motorsport Junior Driver Trent Hindman will be making his debut in the Zolder 24 Hours this weekend, sharing a BMW Racing Cup M235i with fellow Junior drivers, as well as chief instructor Dirk Adorf. The 19-year-old New Jersey native currently sits eighth in the Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge GS standings.

***GM teams are testing at Road Atlanta this week in preparation for October’s season-ending Petit Le Mans. Among the teams expected for the two-day test, which starts today, include Action Express Racing, VisitFlorida.com Racing and Wayne Taylor Racing.

***The Ford GT is also slated to be back on track later this week at an undisclosed circuit, as well as Porsche’s new 911 GT3-R, which will be testing for the first time on Continental tires as part of a comprehensive week-long test next week.

***A handful of IMSA drivers are going NASCAR road racing this weekend, either at Road America or Canadian Tire Motorsport Park. Andy Lally, Tomy Drissi and Boris Said will be taking part in the XFINITY Series race in Wisconsin, while Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo driver Brian Wong will be making his Camping World Truck Series debut in CTMP.

***The Cooper Tire Prototype Lites powered by Mazda championship, meanwhile, runs at Virginia International Raceway this weekend as part of the Biscuitville 125 NASCAR K&N Pro Series East.
