Jesse Webb was fastest in the final IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge practice session of the weekend at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course.

The JMF Motorsports driver set a 1:26.897 lap time in the No. 34 Mercedes-AMG GT4 he co-drives with Michai Stephens to edge out Sean McAlister’s No. 39 CarBAhn Motorsports BMW M4 GT4 behind.

The No. 19 van der Steur Racing Aston Martin Vantage GT4 was third quickest with Danny Formal behind the wheel.

Meanwhile, Michael de Quesada’s No. 69 Motorsports In Action McLaren Artura GT4 finished fourth, with Team TGM’s Matt Plumb rounding out the top-five.

Daijiro Yoshihara led the way in TCR, with the Japanese driver reeling off a 1:27.722 lap time aboard the No. 93 Montreal Motorsports Group Honda Civic Type-R TCR that saw him eighth fastest overall for much of the session.

While he would ultimately be classified 17th overall after GS cars began qualifying simulations, the Canadian squad finished 1-2 in TCR with the No. 6 MMR Honda of Bran Ortiz and LP Montour less than one tenth off of Yoshihara’s time.

A slew of penalties were awarded throughout the afternoon session, with five drivers ultimately serving drive-throughs.

Early in the session, Tim Lewis’ No. 5 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Veloce TCR and the No. 55 Gou Racing Audi RS 3 LMS TCR were concurrently issued penalties for running over equipment while leaving their pit boxes.

Drive-throughs were also handed to Todd Coleman’s No. 88 Archangel Motorsports Aston Martin for crew members wearing improper attire over the pit wall, alongside JTR Motorsports Engineering and Barker Racing for leaving their pit boxes early.

Daniel Wu went briefly off-track in the No. 73 Racers Edge Motorsports Honda TCR car at Turn 9, but was able to rejoin the field.

Qualifying for Sunday’s weekend’s O’Reilly Auto Parts Four Hours of Mid-Ohio takes place at 4:30 p.m. EDT with both classes being allotted 15-minutes to set their quick laps.
