James Pesek will return to PF Racing for anther full-season IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge campaign with their Ford Mustang GT4.

It will mark the Missouri-based team’s second full season of Pilot Challenge competition.

The team showcased a new blue livery on its GS class contender at the Roar Before the Rolex 24, where they were joined by Jade Buford and Shane Lewis.

Buford and Lewis are also confirmed to drive in four-hour season-opener at Daytona next weekend.

“The Michelin Pilot Challenge is a competitive series with excellent drivers, teams, and cars and we feel that, after our maiden season and our experience we acquired, we are ready to tackle this new challenge,” said team owner JR Pesek.

“We are thrilled to start the year with not only our No. 40 full-time entry, but also with the No. 19 car, which proves that the Ford Mustang GT4 is one of the most prized cars on the field because of its reliability and performance, and as a team, Multimatic’s trust in our crew is a testament of our capability.”

Scott Maxwell and Marco Signoretti shared testing duties of the No. 19 Mustang GT4 at the Roar, which was “taken care of” by PF, although entered under the Multimatic Motorsports banner.

“We got to test a few setups, and I got to clock in a lot of laps on the last day, which prepared me very well for the main event at the end of the month,” said James Pesek.

“The Michelin tires were excellent as usual, the durability of the tires is always impressive considering how harsh the banking can be and how fast we can get through fresh sets of tires.”
