The No. 13 Rum Bum Racing Porsche 911 had the fastest practice time ahead of qualifying for this weekend’s third round of the Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge season at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca.

Hugh Plumb, who shares the car with brother Matt, set a best time of 1:36.515 in the first of two 45-minute sessions.

Mazda MX-5s paced both of the ST sessions, with the No. 34 Alara Racing car driven by Christian Szymczak and Justin Piscitell at 1:39.312 in the morning to lead going into qualifying. Piscitell, who has the first two ST poles of the year, set the fastest time.

The No. 25 Freedom Autosport entry driven by Tom Long and Britt Casey Jr. led in the afternoon at 1:39.826.

Notably, the No. 93 HART Honda Civic Si driven by Kuno Wittmer and Chad Gilsinger was not out in either practice session, and four other cars between GS and ST missed at least one session.
