Moisey Uretsky carried through Ibiza Farm Motorsports’ strong form at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta by taking pole position for the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge season finale.
Uretsky put in a best time of 1:25.908 aboard the No. 44 McLaren Artura GT4, outpacing the No. 54 Panam Motorsport Toyota GR Supra GT4 EVO2 of Caio Chaves by 0.180 seconds.
The No. 44 car’s qualifying performance came after the brightly colored machine already topped both of the practice sessions in the hands of Uretsky’s co-driver Michael Cooper.
Chaves’ Toyota, however, has been moved to the rear of the GS starting grid after it was found in post-qualifying technical inspection that the car was found to have unapproved sensors.
It promoted Nate Cicero to second the No. 13 McCumbee McAleer Racing Ford Mustang GT4, with Morgan Burkhard in the No. 67 CSM Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport third.
Ford Koch was fourth aboard the No. 23 Copeland Motorsports Toyota, ahead of the No. 46 Team TGM Aston Martin Vantage GT4 EVO driven by Paul Holton, who completed the top-five.
GS points leader Luca Mars in the No. 28 RS1 Porsche will start sixth, meanwhile.
Filippi Puts BHA Hyundai on TCR Pole
Mason Filippi led TCR qualifying for Bryan Herta Autosport, denying Eric Powell and CUPRA back-to-back pole positions in class.
Filippi steered the No. 98 Hyundai Elantra N TCR to a best lap of 1:26.917, with that effort 0.067 seconds quicker than the Powell-driven No. 99 Victor Gonzalez Racing Team CUPRA Leon VZ TCR.
Bryson Morris took third in the No. 33 BHA Hyundai, with Celso Neto completing the second row in the No. 7 Precision Racing Audi RS3 LMS TCR.
The final race of the Pilot Challenge season kicks off Friday at 12:45 p.m. EST with live coverage on Peacock and IMSA’s YouTube channel, commercial-free courtesy of Michelin.
