CarBahn with Peregrine Racing has announced its return to IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge competition with Jeff Westphal and Sean McAlister again teaming up for a full-season effort in the team’s BMW M4 GT4.

The California-based team made the switch from a Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport to the G82 for the final two GS rounds of the Pilot Challenge season last year and have elected to continue with the car into the new year.

“It’s always an honor to pilot the No. 39 for CarBahn with Peregrine Racing, as we have a group of such passionate individuals,” Westphal said.

“Having won the GS championship in 2019 and finishing runner-up in 2020, I know the black, grey, and green machine will be competitive this season.

“There is a lot to like about the continuity of machine and teammate.

“We will be working on little details as drivers to extract the most out of our BMW over the ten-race calendar that features 24 hours of green flag competition.”

McAlister added: “We’ll be looking to redeem ourselves under the new(ish) BMW platform this year, and I can’t wait to get back behind the wheel with this fantastic team.”
