Entries for next month’s Michelin IMSA SportsCar Encore at Sebring International Raceway has been extended until Nov. 1, the sanctioning body has confirmed.
The second running of the four-hour race, scheduled for Nov. 8-10, will feature GT3 machinery for the first time alongside LMP3, GT4 and TCR cars.
A total of 20 cars took part in the inaugural round last year, which was won by the ANSA Motorsports’ Kyle Kirkwood and Roman De Angelis in a Ligier JS P3 Nissan LMP3 car.
Sportscar365 understands at least three GT3 cars have been entered for this year’s race, including a Riley Motorsports Mercedes-AMG GT3 for Lawson Aschenbach and Gar Robinson and the racing return of Tim Pappas in a Black Swan Racing Porsche 911 GT3 R.
GT4 entries include a Riley Mercedes-AMG GT4, while Bryan Herta Autosport has announced plans to field at least two Hyundai Veloster N TCRs.
The event, which will be streamed on IMSA.tv, has already been confirmed for a third running in November 2020.
