Rasmus Lindh and Dan Goldburg will return to Performance Tech Motorsports in IMSA Prototype Challenge, with the dup having been confirmed in the team’s Motel 6-sponsored Ligier JS P320 Nissan for the 2021 season.

The entry — to run in the overall class for new-gen LMP3s — is the first confirmed entry by the Florida-based squad.

“It’s so exciting to have Motel 6 back with us,” said team principal Brent O’Neill. “When we first met the group in 2020 it was clear we had a lot of common ideas and morals.

“For us to have success in such an unprecedented year was testament to how well we meshed.

“This season holds a lot of exciting opportunities as we run Ligier JS P320s in IMSA Prototype Challenge and WeatherTech SportsCar Championship and we’re proud to have Motel 6 on the journey with us.”

Goldburg and Lindh teamed for two podium finishes in the 2020 season.

“Rasmus and I enter the season with so much more going for us,” said Goldburg. “First off, we have committed to run the full year together where 2020 was a partial year as a driver pairing and some of the events were organized last minute.

“[We] are already working together to plan out everything we need to be successful together for 2021.

“Second, we come in knowing each other’s driving style, strengths and weaknesses, and we both have developed a great relationship with the Performance Tech Motorsports team.

“We have all of that behind us and can get straight on with the business of competing at the highest level possible.”
