A total of 26 cars are set for next weekend’s Monterey Sports Car Championship at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca, featuring DPi, LMP2, GT Le Mans and GT Daytona class machinery.
The entry list, released by IMSA on Wednesday, features no significant additions or surprises since the last round at Road America in August.
The six season-long DPi entries are set to do battle again alongside four LMP2s, including the Road America class-winning Era Motorsport Oreca 07 Gibson, which has been confirmed for Ryan Dalziel and Dwight Merriman.
Era had not initially committed to the two-hour and 40-minute race, having revealed plans in June of a scaled-back Michelin Endurance Cup-only campaign that has since seen the addition of the Road America and Laguna Seca sprint rounds.
The three GTLM entries will be joined by a 13-car GTD field, including the debut of The Heart of Racing’s second Aston Martin Vantage GT3 for Ian James and Alex Riberas.
Grasser Racing Team’s Lamborghini Huracan GT3 Evo, which had been a full-season entry, is absent from the entry list.
The Austrian team is believed to be focusing its efforts that weekend on ADAC GT Masters, which will be running at the Lausitzring.
Additionally, both the Gilbert/Korthoff Motorsports Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo and NTE Sport Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo entries are not present, as planned.
Sportscar365 understands that Gilbert/Korthoff will return for the final two rounds of the season at Virginia International Raceway and Motul Petit Le Mans, with the status of NTE’s involvement unknown at this point.
